While working as a graduate assistant for the Horticulture Innovation Lab, Corey Rodda applied her zest for storytelling, writing and research into communications material for the Horticulture Innovation Lab.

She is pursuing a master's degree in community development from UC Davis.

Previously, Corey worked in communications and fundraising for nonprofit organizations in Sacramento. As a student in Florida, she became an active ally with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, a grassroots farm workers rights organization. This experience opened her eyes to inequities and injustices that play out on farm fields throughout the world. At the Horticulture Innovation Lab, she is eager to be a part of its mission to empower small-scale farmers with emerging technologies so that they can earn more from each harvest.

She holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and gender studies from New College of Florida.
