The slides also introduce the Horticulture Innovation Lab, which has been managed by UC Davis since it was first established in 2009 with $35 million in core funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development. The Horticulture Innovation Lab has developed a portfolio of projects to address needs in horticulture. The program awarded grants to U.S. university researchers to work with partners in developing countries and built a global network of researchers over the years.
