Description

This illustrated poster includes images of best practices and also "bad practices" for growing Grains of Paradise in Ghana, with tips for each stage of production along the value chain including:

  • Nursery site selection
  • Nursery bed preparation
  • Nursery management
  • Land preparation
  • Transplanting
  • Fertilizer application
  • Farm maintenance
  • Pest and disease control
  • Harvest and postharvest practices

The poster also includes a basic growing calendar for grains of paradise in Ghana. 

The poster is by Dan Acquayre of ASNAPP-Ghana, along with collaborators from KNUST including Juliana Asante-Dartey, Charles Quansah, Larry Amekuse, Akua Benewaah and Joseph Agyiri.
