This 90-second video shares about Dr. Ramadhani Majubwa's trip to the University of Florida to develop a postharvest course with UF faculty for Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania. The project is intending to train faculty in order to improve an undergraduate course in postharvest practices and to develop a new master’s program at Sokoine University.
This is a part of the Horticulture Innovation Lab's project on building postharvest capacity in Tanzania. The main goal of this project is to provide students, farmers, traders, marketers, and agriculture extension educators with tools necessary to improve the quality and shelf life of their products — thus reducing postharvest losses in Tanzania.
