Horticulture offers double-duty impacts in international development  — contributing to both global poverty reduction and global nutrition security. As high-value crops, fruits and vegetables offers farmers promising income and profitable opportunities even on small plots of land. Fruits and vegetables are also critical to improving nutrition, providing critical micronutrients for diversified diets, to help consumers avoid "hidden hunger."

Articles, blog posts, white papers, fact sheets, presentations and other information below address strategies and priorities for how horticulture best achieves global development goals, including improved nutrition, reduced poverty, and increased resilience.
