Description
This poster by Matthew Kleinhenz, Monicah Waiganjo, Mark Erbaugh, and Sally Miller was presented at the 2011 Horticulture Innovation Lab annual meeting.
This poster outlines the three phases of a proposed project focused on vegetable grafting and the use of tunnels. The phases described include:
- Document baseline resource availability
- Develop educational products to increase stakeholder success using the tools
- Evaluate the educational products
Tomatoes and peppers are a key commodity in East Africa, and both grafting and low/high tunnels can reduce biotic and abiotic stresses on the plants, therefore improving yield and quality.
