Mission Relations and Required Notifications
Notification for events and meetings with high-level government officials is required. Also travel notification to arrange for meetings with USAID mission. Please reach out to Archie Jarman (rajarman@ucdavis.edu) with a minimum of 30 days advance to notify Horticulture Innovation Lab about any of the below activities.
- Travel from US to country of research
- External events (not internal working meetings for research teams)
- Meetings with high-level government officials
- Any and all media outreach
Any additional requirements based on country of research will be independently communicated to relevant research teams.
Open Data Requirements
Per USAID’s Open Data Policy, researchers are required to submit datasets with USAID (Horticulture Innovation Lab) funding to the “Development Data Library” in machine-readable, non-proprietary formats. Horticulture Innovation Lab will help facilitate data submission upon request (horticulture@ucdavis.edu). Research datasets that are the basis for academic publications will be released as early as the date of publication, but no later than 12 months from the date of acceptance for publication.
