Maritza is a third year International Agriculture Development major with an emphasis in Agricultural Production. Maritza plans to graduate in the spring of 2022 with a Bachelor's of Science. Prior to working with the Horticulture Innovation Lab, Maritza worked at a nursery local to her hometown. Maritza worked with both ornamental and horticultural plants, and she learned not only how to keep these plants healthy but also aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well. Maritza has applied this knowledge to her work with the Horticulture Innovation Lab demonstration garden where she balances the aesthetics of the garden with its production potentials.
