University of California, Davis
The Horticulture Innovation Lab is managed by a team at the University of California, Davis, with funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development as part of the U.S. government's Feed the Future initiative.
At UC Davis, the program is housed within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, in the Department of Plant Sciences, with support from the CA&ES International Programs Office. Please see our team directory for information about individuals in the management entity or our office location for more information.
Researchers from UC Davis work with the Horticulture Innovation Lab to advance fruit and vegetable production for smallholder farmers in developing countries.
UC Davis graduate students have also participated in Trellis Fund projects, where they are matched to an organization in a developing country to provide agricultural support to local farmers for short-term horticultural projects.
On campus at UC Davis, the Horticulture Innovation Lab also hosts an outdoor demonstration center, for visitors to explore some of the horticultural technologies that the program's global network uses with farmers around the world.
